In the 1960's

a silk weaver (canut)

as there is another layer of brown hair peeking out at the back of his neck

but I have learned that it is in fact a Peruvian Chancay burial doll

with just a bit of roughness along one portion of the bottom edge of the box (pictured in photos

Gorgeous Heavy 20 inch Fat Iron Chain silver box In the 1960'sThis is not my typical sort of find, but this old iron chain is simply gorgeous, and I could not not bring it home with me. It weighs about 3 1 2 pounds, and the iron is a really rich charcoal black, in spectacular condition; to me, it reads as pure sculpture. It's definitely got age, showing some wear where the links overlap, just right. I'm not sure what its original use would have been, but certainly it would hold a great weight. Just shy of 20"
