Pretty Pair of Old Strawberry Emeries 1876 Frances and Joseph CrossI find it so heartening and life affirming the care and effort people put into making useful things special, and find old emeries and pin cushions a perfect case in point there's no reason for the tiny stitches meant to look like seeds on the smaller of these two emeries, but how nice that they, and the scalloped green velvet top, are there! For a long time I didn't know the distinction between emeries and pin cushions, but now know that the former
