and hawking nose-- made all the better by the orange and black striped hat resting atop his head
This is one of several just in drawings by Helen Wagner Malta (1912-1975)
the other orange/peach--and though I am offering them for sale separately
I really love the folkiness of these particular pansies
Everything about this lovely stoneware bowl makes me believe it is a piece by highly collectible mid-century studio potter Frank C
Wonderful 1880s Walker and Pratt Cast Iron Stove Front with Faces first edition 1906 and hawking nose-- made allNot totally my usually thing, but I thought this was such a beautiful (and beautifully preserved) piece of cast iron, especially with those faces at the top corners, that I just couldn't resist it. It was once the front screen of a c. 1880 Walker and Pratt parlor stove, which had a side load door, so that the front was just the fire view, gorgeously framed! I thought it could be great in front of a fireplace now, or one could or, as long as well
