Flycatcher on Flowering Branch, Oil on Board Signed M Pahl, 1974 whalers and a small water stainI've been finding myself attracted to not very skillfully painted vintage paintings of late, I think in significant part because they feel cozy and comforting and optimistic. And maybe also because I keep fantasizing about a great old farmhouse bathroom with clawfoot tub in which I'd spend half my time soaking, and in which they would feel completely at home. This sweet painting of a flycatcher (noted on the back of the painting) with long forked tail
